Batya Houri-Yafin
Batya Houri-Yafin teaches Bible and Oral Law at the Leyada High School in Jerusalem, where she also coordinates social and pedagogical activities and is a member of the pedagogical development team of the school. She has volunteered for many years in the “Ketovet Rechov” project with at-risk youth at the not-for-profit ELEM organization. Batya organized the “My Friend, Have you Forgotten?!” Beit Midrash project for Israeli singers involved in the investigation of the artistic tradition of liturgical poems from an intellectual perspective. She attended Hebrew University’s “Revivim” program, where she also completed her BA in Bible and Jewish Studies, and an MA in Jewish Thought.
