Raizi Chechik
Raizi Chechik is a Principal at the Stella K Abraham High School in Hewlett, New York. She studied Tanach and Counseling at the Michlala Jerusalem Teachers College, holds an MA in Medieval Jewish History, and did doctoral work at the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education. As a veteran educator, Raizi has developed curricular materials for the Sephardic Studies Institute at the City University of New York, and is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the national Grinspoon Award for Excellence in Jewish Education. A graduate of the Intensive Training Program for Day School Leaders at YU, Raizi serves as a mentor to new school leaders through their Principals Partnership program. She is a frequent Scholar in Residence in various communities on topics of Tanach and Jewish History. Prior to her position at SKA, Raizi was the Head of School at the Ilan School in Deal, New Jersey.
